Frequently Asked Questions and Policies
Yoga Studio Policies Maintaining our atmosphere No Phones in the Studio To maintain a calm and mindful atmosphere, we ask that all phones and electronic devices remain outside the studio space. This helps create a distraction-free environment where you and your fellow yogis can fully immerse in the practice. By disconnecting from technology, we honor the intention of the class and respect the shared experience of the community. No Shoes in the Studio To maintain a clean, safe, and grounded environment; we ask that all shoes be removed before entering the studio space. This helps preserve the integrity of the practice area, keeps the space hygienic for everyone, and supports a mindful, focused experience for all clients. Arrive 10–15 Minutes Early We recommend arriving at least 10–15 minutes prior to class start time. This allows you plenty of time to check in, settle into your space, and begin class feeling relaxed rather than rushed. It also helps ensure that our schedule runs smoothly and that all clients receive the full class experience. Doors Lock at Class Start Time To protect the flow of the class and maintain the safety of our clients and instructors, the studio doors will be locked once class begins. Late arrivals will not be permitted into the session. Please plan ahead to arrive early and avoid missing your class. No-Show Policy To ensure all clients have the opportunity to attend class, we ask that you cancel in advance if you are unable to make it. Repeated no-shows prevent others from booking and enjoying their practice. If a client accumulates 10 no-shows, their booking privileges may be suspended. We appreciate your consideration in helping us keep classes accessible and fair for everyone. Waitlist Policy If a class is full, clients may join the waitlist. When a spot becomes available, you will automatically be added to the class roster. By joining the waitlist, it is the client’s responsibility to check whether they have been enrolled and plan accordingly. This ensures a smooth experience for both you and other participants. Leaving Class Early We understand that sometimes you may need to leave class early. If this is the case, please inform your instructor prior to class beginning. To maintain the integrity of the class experience, we ask that all early departures occur before savasana begins, allowing others to enjoy a calm, uninterrupted ending to their practice. Health & Wellness Policy For the safety and wellness of our community, if you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, we ask that you stay home. Our team will gladly assist you in rebooking your spot at no charge, so you can return to class once you are feeling well again. Studio Etiquette To maintain a peaceful and mindful environment, we ask that clients keep voices low in the belongings area while arriving for class and observe quiet when the “class in session” sign is displayed. Inside the studio, please silence conversations and remain present, respecting the shared space and the practice of others. We encourage mindfulness, acceptance, and freedom of movement, creating a welcoming environment for all clients regardless of ability or experience. Personal Belongings Clients are welcome to store personal items, bags, and shoes in our designated belongings area before entering the studio. Please be considerate of others and use only one cubby per client. The Remedy is not responsible for lost or stolen items, so we encourage you to keep valuables with you or secured. Liability Waiver All clients are required to sign a waiver before participating in classes or using studio amenities. You will be prompted to complete this waiver when creating your account on GloFox. Participation in classes or use of amenities may be denied if the waiver is not completed. This ensures the safety and well-being of all clients and staff. Inclement Weather & Emergency Closures In the event of inclement weather or an unexpected emergency, clients will be notified of class cancellations or studio closures via the email address used to create your profile. Updates will also be posted on our social media channels. This ensures all clients have the most current information and can plan accordingly.

Sauna and Cold Plunge What it is and how to do it 1. What is contrast therapy? Contrast therapy alternates between heat (infrared sauna) and cold (plunge or shower). This creates a natural pumping effect in your circulatory system—expanding and constricting blood vessels—which supports recovery, circulation, and resilience. 2. What should I bring to my session? For comfort and safety, we recommend bringing: Bathing suit or swim trunks. Towel (for sitting in the sauna and drying off) Water or preferred hydration (electrolytes encouraged) Cold water/neoprene socks (optional, for those who experience reduced circulation in the feet) Slip-on shoes or flip-flops (for moving easily between sauna, plunge, and rest areas) 3. What are the benefits? Clients may experience: Faster muscle recovery and reduced soreness Improved circulation and cardiovascular function Enhanced mood, mental clarity, and stress resilience Immune system support Deeper relaxation and better sleep 4. How does a typical session work? A standard session alternates: Sauna: 15–20 minutes Cold plunge: 1–3 minutes Rest/hydrate: 2–5 minutes This cycle is repeated 2–3 times, typically ending with cold for recovery or beginning with cold for focus and energy. Clear protocols will be available on-site for clients to follow. 5. What temperatures are used? Sauna: 160–212 °F (70–100 °C) Cold plunge: 50–59 °F (10–15 °C) Beginners can start with shorter durations (10–15 minutes sauna, 30–60 seconds cold) and build up gradually. 6. Is contrast therapy safe for everyone? Most healthy adults tolerate it well, but medical clearance is recommended if you: Have heart disease, high blood pressure, or circulation issues Are pregnant Have Raynaud’s, neuropathy, open wounds, or skin conditions
Red Light Sauna Therapy How it works and what to bring 1. What is the Sunlighten Red-Light Therapy Panel, and how does it work? It’s an LED panel featuring both red and near-infrared light (typically 660 nm and 850 nm) that penetrates skin and deeper tissues. This light stimulates mitochondria to boost ATP (energy) production, supports collagen formation, reduces inflammation, and aids muscle recovery. 2. What should I bring to my session? For comfort and safety, we recommend bringing: Swimsuit, sports bra + shorts, or other light breathable clothing (exposes more skin for light absorption) Towel (to sit on and for comfort) Water or preferred hydration (electrolytes encouraged) Other items to consider (optional, depending on client preference): Hair tie/headband to keep hair off shoulders/neck for better light exposure Moisture-wicking robe/cover-up for after session comfort Flip flops or easy slip-on shoes for walking to/from sauna area Journal or book (some clients enjoy mindfulness, reflection, or quiet reading while in session) Post-session moisturizer (since red light can support skin health, applying a clean moisturizer afterward may enhance the effect) 3. What benefits can clients expect? Clients may experience: Improved skin tone and anti-aging effects Reduced inflammation Enhanced immune health Better sleep support Muscle recovery and performance benefits Near-infrared light reaches muscles and joints, offering deeper tissue support. 4. How often should one use it? Most people benefit from 3–5 sessions per week. For specific goals such as wound healing or muscle repair, daily use can be appropriate. 5. Is the device FDA approved? It is FDA-registered, which means it meets safety standards, but it is not approved as a medical device. 6. Are there any safety considerations? Health conditions (e.g., cardiovascular issues, neurological conditions, pregnancy) warrant medical consultation before use. Photosensitizing substances (such as certain medications, retinoids, or supplements) can increase sensitivity—check with a healthcare provider if unsure. Always use high-quality, low-EMF devices with recognized safety certifications.
